Exotic Ingredient: Peppercorns

🔸 “Peppercorns”, I absolutely love spicy food. Whether it’s the curries, rice or BBQ, for me it has to be spicy.

🔸 So here’s an exotic spice that I got hold off right from the land of spices KERALA, India.

🔸 These are green peppercorns full of heat and spice, once matured it turns into our regular “Black Peppercorns”

🔸 It’s widely used in making sauce for steaks and also in few pasta recipes. They are also pickled in brine or vinegar.

🔸 Pepper is native to South Asia and Southeast Asia and has been known to Indian cooking since at least 2000 BCE

🔸 In the picture below you will find the green peppercorns along with a few red and the ones that have begun to mature into black peppercorns.
